The SILO4 Walking Robot

The SILO4 walking robot is a medium-sized quadruped mechanism built for basic research and development as well as an educational robot.

The SILO4 has proven very efficient in  research on motion generation, terrain adaptation, stability analysis, etc. and it is expected to be the same in subjects such as artificial intelligence, perception integration, teleoperation and so on.

The SILO4 walking robot is being offered as a common platform for comparative studies in walking locomotion techniques.

However, to overcome shortcomings derived from commercialization and maintainability, and to facilitate the use of this legged robot as a real common platform, the whole information for construction is offered here.

This book contains a description of the SILO4 walking robot along with the main algorithms tested on it.
